Emilia Alvarez, an 85-year-old Arcadia woman who was reported missing Friday evening, has been found at a Los Angeles bus stop by her family, according to the Arcadia Police Department.
Alvarez is in good health and has been taken back home by her family, Lt. Paul Foley of the APD said in a released statement. Police believe Alvarez went to the area around the bus station to visit family and became disoriented. In an interview Saturday morning, Lt. Foley told Patch that Alvarez has a heart condition and has showed some signs of age-related dementia.
Alvarez had been reported missing by her daughter Friday evening after having last been seen at her apartment in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue on Friday at 12:30 p.m.

Before Alvarez was found, police searched a huge area around the apartment and contacted local hospitals and Alvarez's family members in the area, according to Lt. Foley.
