Kid-Friendly Red, White and Blue Recipes

Get the kids involved in this Fourth of July's food preparation. We've gathered five kid-friendly All-American recipes for the whole family to make together.

Prepare one or all five of these red, white and blue recipes sure to be a hit at those weekend barbecues or Fourth of July parties.

1) Jello Flag

This fun dessert is so simple to make but will bring many oohs and ahs. Choose any red Jello flavor, and prepare in a rectangular baking pan. 3. Patriotic Chips and Dips

Don't worry, you don't have to make these chips from scratch. Pick up a couple of bags of in Pasadena. Pair with red salsa, hummus, or dip. If you want to amp up the color, add a couple of blue drops of food coloring to your hummus or dip. Be careful though, too much coloring and everyone will be walking around with blue lips and teeth.
