TMZ: Rodney King Cited by Arcadia Police

On 20th anniversary of infamous beating, King reportedly pulled over in Arcadia.

Rodney King was cited by the for driving without a license Tuesday afternoon, according to the celebrity gossip website TMZ.com. 

News of King's citation comes on the day of the 20th anniversary of his infamous beating by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Lt. Roy Nakamura of the Arcadia Police Department could not confirm it was the same Rodney King involved in the 1991 beating.

Contrary to TMZ.com's report, Lt. Nakamura said King was pulled over Wednesday afternoon at about 4:16 p.m.

Lt. Nakamura said he did not know how TMZ initially found about King's citation.
