14th Annual Memorial Day Event to Honor Veterans

L.A. County hosts "Remembering Our Veterans and Their Families: Past, Present and Future" at Arcadia County Park Saturday.

The immeasurable sacrifice our service men and women selflessly provide to our country every day is something that we sometimes forget about as we try to keep up with the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Arcadians will get a chance to pause and pay their respect to veterans, both past and present, at the on Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at .

A special tribute to our armed forces begins at 11:30 a.m.

A variety of other tributes are also planned, including skydivers and flyovers by WWII Fighter Planes at this Los Angeles County sponsored event.

The will have a booth filled with Arcadia historical memorabilia and the 's 1959 Ford Galaxy 500 patrol car will be parked next to the Society's booth for a close-up view of this classic.

There will also be a children's area (featuring everything from free popcorn to free vaccinations), multiple food booths, and live music at what's sure to be a great event for the whole family. Booths providing information on health issues, veterans' benefits and legal services will also be present at the park.

Veterans, be sure to bring a copy of your military photo to be placed on the "Wall of Remembrance."
