Car Fire Delays Traffic on 210
Unknown cause at this time, unknown if any injuries sustained.
A stalled vehicle caught fire Thursday afternoon, causing moderate traffic delays on the eastbound 210 Freeway. The fire broke out near the Madre Street exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities issued a Sig Alert for the No. 5 lane until 2 p.m., allowing firefighters to put out the flames, CHP spokesman Chris Cracraft said. Traffic backed up to North Allen Avenue.
Investigators did not know what what may have caused the fire. It was also not immediately known whether anyone was injured.

Cracraft said the roadway was cleared by about 1:30 p.m.
