Chinese Language Horse Racing Website Unveiled

The site is called YUPRacing.com.

Pasadena entrepreneur Kin Hui on Tuesday presented North America’s first Chinese language website devoted to the sport of horse racing, and it will be taking its first official bets on Dec. 26, the same day Santa Anita Park in Arcadia opens, according to the Pasadena Star-News.

The site is called YUPRacing.com, and the website is a partnership between Hui’s Singpoli Capital and Xpressbet, LLC., a Stronach Group company headed by Santa Anita owner Frank Stronach, according to the report.

"Horse racing and horse race wagering are extremely popular with the Chinese-American community in Southern California; yet this population has been largely underserved, mainly due to language barriers and cultural gaps," Hui said at a press conference, according to the Star-News. "I think this is a great opportunity for the horse racing business. I really hope that our Chinese community will like what we have to offer."
