Music is the language of the world, it connects all of us to a common source of compassion. In an attempt to better understand this important topic, the 2012 Interfaith Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 3, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the University of the West, in Rosemead, California.
People of various faiths will collaborate and celebrate through music from their respective traditions to improve personal lives. The performers include:
Reverend Shawn Kindorf founder of the Harmony Center for Spiritual Living
Dr. Ahmad H. Sakr, current president of the Foundation for Islamic Knowledge.
The Hsi Lai Temple Drum Troupe, a world renown drum team.
The Hsi Lai Temple English Chanting Group.
Cantor Paul Buch, from Temple Beth Israel.
This event was organized by: Hsilai Friends (a study group from Hsi Lai Temple), and BudaWest (University of the West Buddhist Association).
