Gas Prices Lowest Since Jan. 30

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since Jan. 30 today, falling three-tenths of a cent to $3.821.

The average price has decreased for 27 consecutive days and is 4.5 cents less than one week ago, 22 cents lower than one month ago and 83.5 cents below one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped 24.1 cents over the past 27 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Sunday. The dropping prices were immediately preceded by a 14-day streak of rising prices totaling 20.1 cents.

The Orange County average price dropped to its lowest amount since Jan. 29, falling one-tenth of a cent to $3.782.

The Orange County average price has decreased for 27 consecutive days and is 4.9 cents less than one week ago, 23.9 cents lower than one month ago and 84.2 cents below one year ago.

The Orange County average price has fallen 25.8 cents over the past 27 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Sunday. The dropping prices were immediately preceded by a 14-day streak of rising prices totaling 20.3 cents.
