Halloween Festivities In and Around Arcadia

Treat your kids to a "spooktacular" Halloween.

Halloween fun in means more than just trick-or-treating throughout your neighborhood. Several events going on in and around town promise to make the haunted holiday especially memorable for your kids.

1. Swing by the Haunted Community Center and let your children roam its eerie hallways and enjoy activities like the Ewey Gewey Room and Scary Crafts. Come dressed in your best costume to enjoy trick-or-treating, Goblin Games and outdoor activities. The festivities run from 4:30-6:30pm at the at 375 Campus Drive.

2. Take your little one trick-or-treating at at the , where stores will be handing out candy to kids. Throughout the mall, there will be several photo opportunities to snap great Halloween shots of your children with costumed characters and fun backdrops. Westfield is at 400 South Baldwin Ave.

3. The neighboring city of Monrovia will host its annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee at Library Park. The event features a dog costume contest for pooches of all ages and a pumpkin decorating contest for adults and kids ages 5 and up. Other activities include face painting, library story times and a photo booth. The event takes place from 3-6 p.m. at Monrovia Park Library at 119 W. Palm Ave. in Monrovia.
