Arcadia Albertson's will be hosting a hatch chile roast on Saturday, an easy option for anybody who is looking to make fresh salsa from the in-season pepper.
Staff will be on hand from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help roast the chiles at the location at 298 E. Live Oak Ave. Interested shoppers can get a 30 lb. sack for $34.99, which includes roasting.
The store suggests adding the chile to "salsas, sauces, casseroles, stir-fries, enchiladas, soufflés, and omelets or just about anything you want to heat up."
