Help Emma, Holly and Quicksilver Find Loving Homes

This week, we introduce you to Quicksilver, Holly and a special guest, Emma.

You Ought to Know

This week, we want to spread the word about a kind, hard-working organization joining in on the fight to save pets’ lives. The nonprofit, A Dog’s Life Rescue, works hard everyday to save dogs and other pets from a harsh, undeserving life on the streets. A volunteer for the organization, Noelle Valdivia, explains, “A Dog's Life makes a concerted effort to track down homeless animals, catch them, socialize them and find them homes.”

A Dog’s Life rescues animals that are abandoned, abused or neglected to find these dog’s new lives through loving homes. It isn’t easy caring for the dogs and other animals while they are under the care of a Dog’s Life Rescue. “[W]e're definitely a grass roots organization…we have only two employees, our founders,” Valdivia said of her outreach. “We've been taking on a lot of animals lately and are working to spread the word on our shelter…We need all the help we can get.” The nonprofit works hard to receive the funds needed to provide these animals with shelter, food, and medical attention while they wait for a home.

The organization has adoption events every 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month at Centinela Feed, 11055 Pico Blvd. in West Los Angeles. A Dog’s Life can make private arrangements for you to meet a dog anytime, if you contact them for an appointment.

We wanted to let you know about one of the precious pups that A Dog’s Life is trying to find a loving place for. Her name is Emma and she is beautiful and gentle Rottweiler who desperately needs a home. Despite Rottweilers having a reputation for being on the tough side, Emma is a sweet girl who is ready to be loved and love back.
