Grammy Award-winning singer Natalie Cole headlined the 2012 Crystal Ball benefiting Arcadia Methodist Hospital. In addition to winning nine Grammy Awards, Cole authored two bestselling books and has many movies and television appearances under her belt.
Aptly themed An Unforgettable Night with Natalie Cole, Saturday's event honored former Methodist Hospital President and CEO Dennis Lee and his wife, Carolyn, for their many years of support for the hospital. Dennis Lee retired in 2011 after 17 years as CEO, while Carolyn Lee was an equally committed supporter of the hospital during the couple's two decades here.
After dinner, Dennis Lee took an impromptu visit to the men's bathroom and cut his long, 1960s-style locks in exchange for a $1,750 donation to the hospital.

The Crystal Ball included an elegant dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions.
Crystal Ball 2011 raised $530,000. Proceeds from this year's event will go to support the hospital's elite stroke program, designated an advanced primary stroke center for Los Angeles County by The Joint Commission and recent recipient of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.
