Power Outage Affects Arcadia Residents
Some Southern California Edison customers in Arcadia were without power Friday afternoon.

About 17 Southern California Edison customers in Arcadia were without power Friday afternoon as the result of an outage that originally affected close to 4,000, the utility reported.
The outage, caused by a transformer failure, was first reported around 1:25 p.m. and originally affected 3,983 customers, said SCE spokeswoman Susan Cox.

She said all but 17 customers had their service restored as of 3:30 p.m.
Cox did not have an estimate of when those still without electricity would have their service restored.

She said the original outage area, which included an unincorporated area adjoining Arcadia, was bordered by Mohawk Street to the north, Baldwin Avenue to the east, Duarte Road to the south and Muscatel Avenue to the west.
