Summer Carnival Returns to Arcadia

Three-day Chamber of Commerce event begins Friday at Arcadia County Park.

After a seven-year layoff, the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce's three-day Summer Carnival once again returns to town Friday.

Chamber officials said it was difficult to predict attendance for the event that takes place from 5-10 p.m Friday and noon-10 p.m Sat-Sun at , but weekend estimates top out at 10,000.

In addition to the usual carnival mainstays, each day there will also be five gourmet food trucks--including the famed Grilled Cheese Truck Friday night--ready to serve tasty eats to hungry attendees.

You can purchase tickets in groups of 20 for $10 in advance at the Chamber of Commerce, 388 W. Huntington Dr. in Arcadia. Tickets cost 75 cents at the carnival so you'll save 25 cents per ticket by choosing the early-bird method.

The popular Chamber Summer Carnival returns Friday – Sunday, June 24-26, for the first time in many years to the County’s Arcadia Park near the peacock fountain along Huntington Drive and Santa Anita Ave.

For the first time, five different gourmet food trucks each day will also be part of the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce event, including one of the most popular of all Friday night, The Grilled Cheese Truck.

The carnival, produced by highly-regarded Kemsley Shows, providing entertainment year-round at venues such as the Temple City Camelia Festival, offers more than a dozen big rides and attractions, including a ferris wheel, roller coaster, Octopus, Sizzler, Slide, Fun House, and Merry-Go-Round, will be open from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday and 12 noon – 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Traditional carnival games and concessions such as cotton candy, candy apples, churros, and sno-cones will be available.

Tickets are .75-cents at the carnival, where each ride requires a different number of tickets.

The nine other food trucks serving delicious food and refreshments are shave ice truck A Rockin’ Ice, The Flying Pig, Surfer Taco, Kabob n Roll, Cheese Ball Wagon, Downtown Dogs, Caridad Cuisine, Wrap Me Silly, and Go Country 105.
