Weekend Planner: Community Concert, Football Fundraiser, E-Waste Drive

Patch brings you a host of options to make your weekend one to remember.

Are you looking for something to do with your weekend? Wondering what the neighborhood has to offer? Here are some intriguing events taking place in the area.

 

1.

Where/When: , Sunday, noon-5 p.m.

Why Go: This event will showcase some of the amazing programs offered at First Avenue Middle School and will raise funds to maintain those programs and others at each Arcadia school. Activities include carnival-style booths, games and prizes as well as face painting, pie throwing and a good old-fashioned dunk tank.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When:, Sunday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Why Go: Donate your "give-aways" and support the AHS Football Team and Goodwill. Drive in the parking lot and drop off your items.

Pricing: Free.

 

3.

Where/When: , Saturday, 8 a.m. –1:30 p.m.

Why Go: Donate your old computers, telephones, TV monitors, printers, fax machines, scanners, key boards, copiers, DVD Players, stereo equipment, miscellaneous computer parts or cords, lamps, toasters, batteries (any size), and anything that plugs in to the Holly Avenue E-Waste Drive.
 

Pricing: Free.

 

4.

Where/When: Sierra Madre Playhouse., Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: The Sierra Madre Playhouse presents Cat's Cradle by Leslie Sands, the story of British detective Inspector "Jack" Frost.

Pricing: $12-20.

 

5.

Where/When: LA County Arboretum, Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: This annual plant show and sale features more than 150 varieties of rooted chrysanthemum cuttings, as well as other types of flowers and shrubs, tomato plants and more.

Pricing: Free with admission.
