What's Open, Closed on Memorial Day

Monday is a federal holiday honoring U.S. Service Members who have died while in military service.

In observance of Memorial Day, many Arcadia institutions will be closed on Monday.

The and City Hall are both closed. The library's online catalog, which provides many services, is open and available here

All schools in the are closed. Classes resume Tuesday.

If you decided to skip the barbecue, at will be open and showing the latest films. According to Nikki Finke at Deadline.com, this Memorial Day weekend's box office will likely be the biggest in history thanks largely to a pair of sequels, The Hangover Part II and Kung Fu Panda 2. The Hangover Part II is expected to gross more than $135 million, the highest first weekend ever for an R-rated comedy, over the four-day weekend.
