Calling All Photographers: Enter the Gilb Museum's Juried Contest and Exhibition

The theme for this year's contest is "Shadows and Light."

Photographers, get your cameras ready.

The Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage will begin taking entries for its fifth annual juried photography contest and exhibition June 1. The exhibition will run from July 13 to Aug. 31, with an opening and award ceremony July 13 at 10 a.m. at the Gilb Museum.

The theme for this year's contest is "Shadows and Light."

Judges will be Pasadena City College visual arts and media instructor Vicki Martin, Arcadia High School visual arts teacher Lloyd Fujiwara and UCLA professor Zhuang T. Fang.

  • The 1st Place winner receives a $100 gift certificate to Westfield Santa Anita.
  • The 2nd Place winner receives a $75 gift certificate to The Frame House.
  • The 3rd Place winner receives dinner for two at Matt Denny's Alehouse.
  • Curator's Favorite receives an annual membership to the California Museum of Photography.
