Join us on Thursday, June 14 as we take the month to celebrate Dad’s while creating a fun athletic-themed experience for kids. First we will read My Dad is a Pretzel by Baron Baptiste, a great book that will introduce kids to yoga and connect the practice to everyday life. Afterwards we will read, Curious George at the Baseball Game by Margret & H.A. Rey, which is about the adventures of going to watch a baseball game. Kids will then make useful gifts that they will wrap and give to Dad, and enjoy a snack.
On Thursday, June 28, join in the fun with Madlenka Soccer Star by Peter Sís, a story about a cosmopolitan girl that gets everyone in the neighborhood wanting to play soccer. Then go on an adventure with Froggy Plays Soccer by Jonathan London. Afterwards, kids will bring out their inner artist and decorate t-shirts with sporty designs, and enjoy a snack.
