Rimsky-Korsakov     Scheherazade

Sensuous, exotic, even erotic.   Music of the 1001 nights - “Scheherazade” - showcases the sonic power of the Pasadena Symphony at Ambassador Auditorium. Hailed by the Chicago Tribune as “one who bears watching by anyone who cares about the future of music,” Philadelphia Orchestra’s conductor, Rossen Milanov, will also conduct other exotic works:  Borodin’s popular “Polovstian Dances” and the brilliant “Egyptian” Concerto of Saint Saëns played by the Colburn School’s rising star piano virtuoso, Esther Keel.
