Senior Arcadians' Artwork Shines at the Historical Museum

The newest exhibit opens this weekend and features paintings from local artists.

This weekend, the is opening their newest exhibit and it’s sure to engage patrons of all ages. Titled, “With the Sweep of a Brush: The Arcadia Flourishing Painters Exhibit,” this collection consists of gifted paintings from artists in the community.

Bring the whole family and take a look at what local talent Arcadia has to offer.

What makes this exhibit even more fun is that these artists are all senior citizens from Arcadia. Their artwork represents interpretations of the space around them living in the city. The art displayed represents the various talent that each painter has and you’ll be able to see the various viewpoints and styles in their paintings. It may just give you new eyes to how you look at the city.

Best of all, this exhibit is free for all ages.

The at the Museum. This reception is the perfect opportunity to get a walk through of the exhibit by museum curators and ask questions about the artwork.

The exhibit runs from July 9 to August 13. The Arcadia Historical Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
