Blog: When It Comes To Fitness, Trust The Process

Whether your fitness goal is to lose weight, decrease body fat, build muscle, or simply live a healthier lifestyle, one of the big keys to your long term success is that you trust the process.

Whether your fitness goal is to lose weight, decrease body fat, build muscle, or simply live a healthier lifestyle, one of the big keys to your long term success is that you trust the process. The experience at times can be frustrating. And as sure as day follows night, the one certainty of an effective training program or workout is that you will eventually experience difficult mental and physical challenges that will tempt you to abandon your workout program.

It happens time and time again where people will start a new workout schedule, when suddenly, they quit because of some underlying challenge. The excuses are usually the same- the workouts are too hard, the diet is too strict, people have too much work to do, or the workouts are just too tiring. But like anything else in life, you need to work hard for what you want. Not just for one day or two days, but for the entire program!

You have to make the conscious decision to commit to your program and get better. There will be mornings when you wake up and you just don't feel like exercising. You'd rather stay in bed or hang out with your friends. There will be times when you just feel like doing the same workout when in fact, you should be progressing to more difficult exercises. And there will also be those frustrating times where you start doubting your abilties and feel like you are just too far away from reaching your goals. But in my view, it is at these points of absolute bleakness that separates the winners from the losers. Losers quit but winners persist, and more often than not, your commitment to a good training program will generate the physical results you are looking for.
