Arcadia Police: Alleged Home Invasion Victims Tied Up for More Than an Hour

A police official says the suspects may have been involved in a similar crime in La La Palma earlier this week.

The five alleged victims of a home invasion robbery in Arcadia Thursday night were tied up and held for more than an hour as the suspects ransacked their house, an Arcadia police official told Patch.

The suspects apparently let themselves into the east Norman Avenue home through an unlocked side door at about 10:10 p.m., Arcadia Sgt. Tom LeVeque said. Police weren't called until about 11:44 p.m. after the suspects fled.

Two women were home at the time and they were tied up and blindfolded. Three men arrived home later during the commission of the robbery and were also bound and blindfolded, LeVeque said. Two of the men were struck in the head but did not have to be treated by paramedics.

The alleged victims were unable to provide detailed suspect descriptions, LeVeque said.

LeVeque said a similar home invasion robbery happened recently in the city of La Palma and detectives are investigating to see if the same suspects were involved. Police will look into similar crimes elsewhere as well, he said.

"Obviously regionally we'll look and see if there's anything that matches," LeVeque said.

Police do not have a vehicle description of the car the suspects fled in, LeVeque said.
