Five People Tied Up, Blindfolded in Arcadia Home Invasion Robbery

Police say five suspects made off with cash, jewelry and other items in the late night heist Thursday.

Five people were tied up and blindfolded during a home invasion robbery at a house in Arcadia late Thursday night, police said.

A group of five suspects, including one armed with a handgun, robbed a home in the 500 block of Norman Avenue at about 11:44 p.m. Thursday, according to police.

"There were initially two victims at the residence who were tied up and blindfolded as the suspects ransacked the home," an Arcadia Police Department news release states. "Three additional victims arrived home at the residence while the crime was in progress and they too were tied up and blindfolded."

Two of the male victims were struck by the suspects and sustained minor injuries.

The suspects stole passports, electronic devices, laptops, jewelry, cash and the victims' car keys though no cars were stolen, the release states.

Arcadia Police Sgt. Kollin Cieadlo said Friday morning that detectives are still on the scene investigating the incident. No other information is available, he said.

The case is currently under investigation.  Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Arcadia Police Department at 626-574-5150.
