Police Investigating Possible Drive-By Shooting in Arcadia

Police say it appears someone in one car fired at another car but both vehicles fled the scene.

A drive-by shooting was reported on Lovell Avenue Tuesday afternoon and investigators are looking for a dark colored Toyota vehicle that may have been involved in the incident, according to Arcadia Police.

The shooting was reported at 1:38 p.m. on Lovell Avenue south of Duarte Road, Arcadia Police Lt. Tom Cullen said.

"Right now it looks like it was a shooting from car to car," Lt. Tom Cullen said. "It looked like somebody in one car was shooting at another car."

The cars involved fled the scene, he said. Cullen said there is no indication that anyone was struck by gunfire but officers have already checked in with local hospitals for possible gunshot victims.

The department's Twitter feed reports that police are looking for a dark colored Toyota in connection with the incident.
