Police Offer New Details In Stabbing Case

Victim reportedly attacked after stopping argument between a man and woman.

The search is on for a man who allegedly attacked another man after he intervened in an argument between the suspect and a woman at Eisenhower Park early Sunday morning.

The man had been exercising at the park when he happened upon the arguing man and woman. After stopping the argument, the man continued jogging, but was allegedly rushed from behind and felt what he described as "a poke in his back," according to a press release from


The victim realized he had been stabbed and attempted to fend off the attacker, but was stabbed again in the chest and left arm. The suspect reportedly ran off into the park. The victim was taken to by family members.

The suspect was described as a male in his 30s, 5 feet, 10 inches, 140 pounds with a medium build, he wore a red long-sleeve shirt, dark jeans and carried a black backpack. The suspect also sported short dark hair and a thin beard with no mustache.
