Celebrating a Birthday? Get Free Admission to Santa Anita Park

Cheer on the ponies, free of charge, on your birthday.

Why not celebrate your birthday with a day at the races at Santa Anita Park?

Just bring proof of your date of birth, and the track will let you and your guest in for free, effective immediately. With your favorite drink in hand, cheer on the ponies as they race against the backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains.

“Santa Anita Park has been voted the number one place in Southern California to celebrate your birthday,” Santa Anita CEO Mark Verge said.  “We want people to know they can have a great time here on any day.  We’ve got great racing, football, baseball, family fun activities, concerts, contests and we’re hoping to get the word out and let people know they can blow out a few candles and party with us any time.”

Sounds like a happy birthday to me.

How did you spend the best birthday you ever had? Tell us in the comments.

This is a good idea except for one thing. What about those with birthdays on days there is no racing? I have to admit I've celebrated a few birthdays at Santa Anita.

I was thinking the same thing!! I wanted to go to the races for my birthday (Nov. 6), but it's on a Tuesday (election night. GAH!) Maybe they could change it to any time the week of your birthday.
