Santa Anita Winners' Circle BBQ Championships

The world famous Santa Anita track plays host to the “Winners circle
BBQ Championship” where top competition BBQ teams from the west coast
will battle it out for a California State Championship title and
$10,000 in cash prizes!

There's nothing quite as American and mouth wateringly delicious as
perfectly cooked barbecue. Come join us at the First Santa Anita's
Winner's Circle BBQ Championship!  Here you'll be able to not only
meet the West Coast's top competitive BBQ teams, you'll also get to
help choose who wins!

Treat yourself to succulent BBQ right off the pits, cooked low and
slow over wood fires, the way BBQ was meant to be.  Since you'll be
tasting the best of the best in this BBQ California Championship,
you'll probably have a rough time choosing the winner, but what a
dilemma to face!

Live music will be jamming throughout the day while you relax with hot
bbq and a cold refreshing beverage.  Arts and crafts,  and a special
play area  will be available for the kids.

I'm sure by now your taste buds are demanding to know where this
gastronomical delight will occur.  Well, then, wipe the drool off your
chin and mark Saturday, March 10, 2012 on your calendar.  The
competition will take place at the Santa Anita infield, where gates
open at 10:30 am.  There will be 4 Meat BBQ Contests, plus the
People's Choice.

It truly is not just another day at the races, as you enjoy not only
the First Santa Anita Winner's Circle BBQ Championship, but horse
racing, which begins at 12:30 pm.  The BBQ championship is free with
admission to the track, which is $5. Tasting tickets are only $1.00
each sold in packs of ten.

It's a jam packed, fun filled day, with events including:

* Award-winning, "best of the best," hot off the grill BBQ, where you
can savor and vote for your favorite in the BBQ People's Choice Award!

* 10 live thoroughbred races, featuring the $300,000 San Felipe
Stakes, which is one of Santa Anita's premier prep races for the
Kentucky Derby!

* Kids of all ages will enjoy the Pony Rides, Face Painting, Free
Giant Jumpers, Carnival Games, and more!

* Live music by the Steel Rods!

* This is a California BBQ Association and Kansas City BBQ Association
