Have you noticed that gas prices haven't gouged your wallet quite so deeply lately?
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased Wednesday for the 36th consecutive day, falling 1 cent to $3.886, its lowest amount since Aug. 6.
The average price has decreased 81.9 cents over the past 36 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, after rising 50.4 cents over the previous seven days and reaching a record high of $4.705 on Oct. 9, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
In Arcadia, the price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.86 at the the 76 station at 4126 East Live Oak Avenue, according to Patch Commute. Up the street at 500 North Santa Anita Avenue, Chevron is charging $3.90 per gallon.
The average price in Los Angeles is 9.7 cents less than one week ago and 77 cents lower than one month ago, but 3.8 cents more than one year ago.
