Gas Prices Stabilize After 27-Day Increase
The price of a gallon of gas is still 57-cents higher than just one month ago.
Gasoline prices in Los Angeles County remained stable today after nearly one month of uninterrupted increases.
A gallon of gas is $4.30 at Arcadia's World Oil station at 3 East Duarte Road. That's nearly four cents less than the average self-serve price in Los Angeles County today, which is $4.378.
A 27-day streak of increases that ended Monday with a decrease of two-
tenths of a cent is responsible for the prices being 2.1 cents more than one
week ago, 57-cents higher than a month ago and 46.8 cents greater than a year
ago.

The market appears to have absorbed a one-day, 35-cent per gallon increase in the wholesale cost of gasoline triggered by , according to Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
The fire forced the refinery's closure, reducing supply.
