Meet David Calabro, Arcadia Patch’s Advertising Manager

David is Patch's advertising manager for Arcadia and other Patch towns. He was born at Verdugo Hills Hospital, raised in Montrose and attended Crescenta Valley High School — you could say he knows the foothills area.

David Calabro has seven years of sales expertise, including five years of online advertising sales experience, and he is the man to talk about advertising Monrovia businesses on Patch.

David is Google Ad Words Certified, a beach volleyball enthusiast and enjoys spending time in Patch neighborhoods. You may see him around Monrovia, Montrose, La Crescenta, La Cañada Flintridge and Arcadia, introducing Patch to local merchants and community members.

He and his wife Laura, a La Cañada Flintridge native and real estate agent, enjoy spending time in the area, eating at local restaurants and supporting local businesses.

Calabro: Meeting with different people and business owners in the community. Most of them that I have never met before and to get to know them personally and professionally. It is also nice to help local business owners grow their business with Patch within the community.

Patch: What's the best way for people to contact you about advertising on Patch?

Calabro: They can call or text me at (818) 263-5513 or email me at david.calabro@patch.com and I would be happy to go over our advertising programs to make sure that we select the right program for their business goals.

Patch: What do you find special about Patch?

Calabro: It is a great way for you to connect and stay in touch with whats happening in the local community and issues and topics you care about. Patch is like local news, Facebook and Yelp all rolled into one.

Patch: What are your personal interests? What do you love most about Southern California?

Calabro: I am very into sports. I watch football, basketball and baseball year round and I play beach volleyball, golf and poker. One of the best parts of Southern California is being able to play beach volleyball year round.

Patch: What's the best part about being a Montrose-La Crescenta native?

Calabro: The people. I know a lot of the business owners and people that I have met though my time growing up here and working both at Oakmont Country Club and Patch. I recently had four requests in a row for additional information for advertising on Patch and I knew all four of them either from high school or family friends. It is amazing for me to see how many people I went to high school with who now have businesses in the local area.
