Police: Pregnant Woman Assaulted Near CVS

Police have released a description of her alleged attacker.

Arcadia Police have released a description of a suspect accused of assaulting a pregnant woman in the CVS parking lot.

The suspect reportedly surprised the woman from behind she she attempted to get something out of her car . The assault took place Sept. 25 outsidse the CVS at 188 Las Tunas Drive shorly after 8:35 p.m.

The suspect then fled on foot, police said.

Meanwhile, two witnesses helped the woman, who lives in another city. She  called police minutes after the alleged attack. Scanner reports indicate she requested medical attention and went to a hospital.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 40s, 5-feet-10 with a medium build. He had short black hair with some facial hair. He sported a short-sleeved gray shirt and light-colored pants.

Detectives collected a fingerprint from the woman's car and are continuing to investigate.
