Noodle World: Asian Fusion

A taste of everything Asian is all under one roof.

has been one of my favorite haunts since I can remember, as far back as high school (the first Noodle World in Alhambra opened in 1993). The restaurant is the perfect place to go when you're craving good ol' fashioned Asian carbs (which I am guilty of quite often). This place has it all when it comes to Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or Thai cuisine, and all at really affordable prices.

The menu includes dishes that will appeal to almost every taste like Chinese BBQ Pork Noodles, Veggie Udon, Vietnamese pho (pronounced "fuh"), or Thai Tom Yum. But it doesn't stop there because they also have rice dishes including Garlic Chicken and Catfish with Chili Sauce. This is where serving "family style" is preferred as you want a taste of everything ordered.

The Noodle World in San Marino is also in a great location on Huntington Drive (plenty of diagonal parking in the front) and the restaurant's decor is a fusion of traditional and modern Asian style, from the classic Chinese army horse by the front desk and the ancient abacus counting frames used to adorn the seating booths to the bright and modern colors on the walls.

Noodle World really is a world of Pan-Asian cuisine that was created by one of the most successful restaurateurs in Los Angeles, John Mekpongsatorn, who has developed an entire line of different concepts like Noodle Planet and Naga Naga Ramen in addition to Noodle World.

932 Huntington Dr, San Marino CA 91108. 626-300-1010. Open Daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Prices: $7 to $10 for entrees.
