Rose Parade 2013 Parking: All You Need to Know

There are a lot of parking options for the parade on Jan. 1.

Look no further for convenient Rose Parade parking in Old Pasadena on Jan. 1.

There are several options for parking near the parade route, including inexpensive public lots and private lots that will cost you more.

Public Parking Lots and Garages

There are also public garages owned and operated by the city of Pasadena that offer inexpensive on-the-spot parking. See the above map for garage locations.

Street Parking

For the adventurous parade-goer, there will be a holiday overnight parking citation moratorium from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. thru Jan. 3. You still have to follow all the normal parking rules, like meter overages, red curbs and parking signs. Also, make sure you're not parking on the parade route. If your car gets towed (we warned you) call 626-744-4565 to retrieve it.

Private Parking Lots and Garages

These privately owned park-and-walk garage facilities are only a block or two from the parade route.

  • Schoolhouse Garage - $30
    33 E. Green St.
  • De Lacey Garage - $30
    45 S. De Lacey Ave.
  • Marriott Garage - $24
    171 N. Raymond Ave.
  • Los Robles Parking - $22
    168 South Los Robles Ave.
  • Holly Street Parking - $17
    150 E. Holly St.

RV Parking

Hey, Pasadena locals: Have any Rose Parade parking tips for out-of-towners? Let me know and I'll add them to the list.

Anyone know what time the lots fill up? I'm planning to arrive before 7.

First to Jared: Rent a Motorcycle and I am not kidding. As to the pic, The ugliest pic of any float I have ever seen.

Thanks for the advice, Robert. And I can't take credit for the stock photo. That's an Indonesian Garuda, I believe, and not to be trifled with.

Hi Susan, The graphic shows that in only one year from 2002-2011 were more Hispanics arrested thanRead More Blacks (2011) - if you hover your mouse over each point you can see the raw number of arrests for each group each year. That's despite there being a substantially larger Hispanic population in L.A. County. The data comes from the Dept. of Justice and was reported by the ACLU - and I believe the point of the report is that there is racial profiling going on, not to suggest that black people are using more pot. In fact, the study suggests that there is not significantly more prevalent pot use among any one racial group. The figure 2.6 times as likely refers to blacks vs. whites, as in mentioned in the first sentence of the article, and comes from the ACLU study. Our intention was definitely not sensationalism but rather to direct readers to this national ACLU study that included L.A. County data. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
