Gold Line Bridge Graffiti Removal May Shutdown 210 Freeway

Metro officials estimate removing the graffiti will cost up to $20,000.

Officials say it could cost up to $20,000 to clean up the graffiti on the Gold Line Bridge because the process will likely involve shutting down the eastbound 210 Freeway for one or two nights.

Lisa Levy Buch, a spokesperson for the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority, told the Pasadena Star-News the agency hopes to get started on the work as early as Monday, but must await Caltrans approval.

Also, the graffiti on the $18.6 million Gold Line Bridge is much more extensive than even immediately viewable by motorists.
