When is Rosh Hashanah?

The Jewish High Holiday begins this weekend.

Rosh Hashanah, the two-day celebration and time of personal reflection that marks the Jewish New Year, begins Sunday, Sept. 16.

"These are probably the holiest of our calendar, and the introspection that takes place at this time is important to us," said Jason Moss, executive director of the Jewish Federation serving the greater San Gabriel Valley. "We need to always contemplate ways we can grow and do better."

If you are looking for ways to spend the holiday, look no further.

Here is a list of services that synagogues in nearby Temple City and Pasadena are hosting:

Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center (1434 N. Altadena Drive, Pasadena)
Sunday — 8 p.m.
Monday — 8:30 a.m.
Tuesday — 8:30 a.m..
