Thanksgiving 2012: What's Shutting Down in Arcadia

City Hall and rec centers will be shutting down or adjusting their hours on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, according to information from the city.

City Hall and many other city services will be shut down on Thanksgiving (Thursday) and Black Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday, according to a release from the city.

Here's what to note:

  • Arcadia police and fire departments will still be active.
  • Trash collection gets pushed back a day. Thursday's pickup gets moved to Friday, Friday's to Saturday.
  • The city's municipal services payment center is closed on Thanksgiving and Friday. However, you may still use the drop box at City Hall to drop off any payments owed.
  • Arcadia Public Library will be closing at 9 p.m. Wednesday, and won't be open on Thanksgiving and Friday. It will re-open at 10 a.m. Saturday
  • Parks are open for picnics the Community Center is closed.
