Arcadia Music Club Awarded $10,000 Grant

Your support helped the organization get a chunk of the $5 million awarded in the Chase Community Giving Program.

The Arcadia Music Club received a $10,000 grant through the Chase Community Giving program, the bank announced Thursday.

The Arcadia Music Club supports all the music programs at Arcadia High School. Arcadia boasts three orchestras, a marching band and drum majors, varsity percussion line, various choral groups and a color guard.

Thousands of charities applied for a grant through the Chase program, which awarded a total of $5 million to 196 nonprofit organizations in 36 states.

The grants were distributed based on how much public support the charity received. The public showed their support for their favorite charity by voting on Facebook or through the company's Web site.

The more votes an organization got, the bigger the grant it was awarded.

While the Arcadia Music Club didn't receive quite enough votes to make it into the $20,000 grant category, the money they did get will go a long way in helping the music programs at the high school prosper.
