Recent AHS Grad to Make Documentary

J.C. Chang is seeking $5,555 in donations to fund a documentary about history of band and color guard.

J.C. Chang has already created a video tribute to retiring band director Tom Landes.

Now, he needs to raise about $4,000 dollars in less than a month to finish a feature-length documentary chronicling the AHS Band and Color Guard's 60-year history and lasting impact on students. A recent AHS alum, Chang has already filmed more than 1,000 hours of footage and logged more than 30 interviews for "Tradition of Excellence."

The 3 1/2-minute teaser video above gives a taste of how entertaining and powerful this film will be. The clip boasts an introduction by Chang and terrific shots of the band's performances during the 2011-12 season, along with powerful interviews of current and former band members.
