If you have ever been to , you may be familiar with the feeling of inadequacy as all the employees look like super. Personally, I try to avoid such places for just that reason.
But born and bred Arcadia local Katherine has the brains to match the beauty. And I’m not just talking about regular old smarts. I mean the kind that know the definition of words like alchemy and speak with the sincerity and confidence of Marlo Thomas. But it was Katherine’s astute knowledge of who she was at this stage of the game that had me questioning my own dilapidated life.

Yeah, I do. I have been working there almost a year now.
That’s funny because I can actually smell the Abercrombie perfume.
Yeah, I am so used to it now. People are always telling me that.
Is it a young clientele?
It’s a lot of older clients; typically the same age group from 20s to late 30s. There aren’t a lot of coming in, which is kind of surprising.
Great. Now late 30s is old. Where do you go to school?
.

Oh. So you’re smart. Is that your major?

What made you interested in that field?
A lot of people when they look at paintings or art, they just see it for face value. They don’t know why the artist did it or what the meaning is. I like to know all the meanings and symbols behind it.
I’ve always wanted to be one of those people that feel art. Oh, well. Did you go to high school here?
I went to .
Did you like it?

Yes.
Let me guess—literature?
Yeah!

Any fun date places?
I went on a date in Lacey Park once in San Marino. It was a picnic. It’s a quiet park with a rose garden.

5 [feet] 11.
That’s tall. Are your tall?
Both of them, yes.
I’m sure I am not the first to ask, but why don’t you model?
I haven’t really thought about it. But A&F has casting sessions and they send me to those sometimes.
It seems like that kind of work would bore you, but I bet you could make good money. You should take a little trip down to one day…I am fairly certain they would scoop you up!
Maybe I will.
But I also could have just ruined your life by telling you that.
