Arcadia Couple Sentenced in Park Stabbing

Ashton Elizabeth Bond, 25, and Anthony Freeman, 30, pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon in the stabbing of a transient.

An Arcadia couple received jail time for attacking a transient with a knife at Central Park in Pasadena.

Ashton Elizabeth Bond, 25, and Anthony Freeman, 30, pleaded no contest Thursday to charges of assault with a deadly weapon. They were originally charged with attempted murder in the case.

Freeman was sentenced to one year in county jail and three years of probation, while Bond was sentenced to 244 days in jail, Los Angeles County Superior Court spokeswoman Jane Robison told the Pasadena Star-News.

Bond and Freeman went to the Park at 275 S. Raymond Avenue on Sept. 30 in search of the victim, a man in his mid-30s, before stabbing him multiple times in the upper torso.
