An Arcadia man hiking the Bailey Canyon Trail fell 100 feet down an embankment Tuesday. The Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team came to man's aid and transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
The man, in his 60s, reportedly had no life-threatening injuries, but had lacerations to his head. Sgt. John Carter of the Temple City Sheriff's Department said the rescue took place at 6:35 a.m. The man was hiking with a friend.
