Arcadia Man Falls 100 Feet Down Embankment

The Sierra Madre Search and Rescue team brought the man to safety.

An Arcadia man hiking the Bailey Canyon Trail fell 100 feet down an embankment Tuesday. The Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team came to man's aid and transported him to a local hospital for treatment. 

The man, in his 60s, reportedly had no life-threatening injuries, but had lacerations to his head. Sgt. John Carter of the Temple City Sheriff's Department said the rescue took place at 6:35 a.m. The man was hiking with a friend.
