Area Police, Firefighters Battle on the Basketball Court

The "Battle of the Badges" will raise money for the Special Olympics.

San Gabriel Valley police officers and firefighters will face off in four basketball games in the “Battle of Badges” at the Arcadia High School gym to raise money for the Special Olympics.

Four games will be played Saturday at Arcadia High School, with the first game between the San Gabriel Police and the San Gabriel Valley Firefighters beginning at noon, according to a written statement.

The Alhambra Police and firefighters will face off at 2 p.m., followed by the  El Monte Police officers and firefighters at 4 p.m.

Arcadia police officers and firefighters will play the final game at 6 p.m.

Game admission is by donation of choice.
