Bear Rifles Through Trash in Arcadia, Wanders Back into the Forest
Police say the animal left peacefully after an officer arrived at the scene.
A resident reported seeing a bear rummaging through trash in an Arcadia hillside neighborhood Wednesday morning, police said.
A police officer dispatched to the 1900 block of Highland Oaks Drive watched the bear leave the area without incident, Arcadia Police Lt. Tom Cullen said.
"The officer was up there and he said it went through a yard and then up into the forest," he said.
