A local pool man reported seeing two bears, but the bears fled before police arrived.

A pool man spotted a mom and her cub Wednesday, but the bears had left the area by the time arrived, Lt. Paul Foley said.
The bears had reportedly crossed the backyard of a home in the foothills. Foley said he does not believe either of the bears are the same one out of another Arcadia backyard earlier this month.
