Bicyclist Punched, Robbed Near Arcadia, Monrovia Border

Police are continuing to investigate the crime.

A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after allegedly being attacked and robbed of his ride, police said.

The robbery occurred sometime around 8:45 p.m. in the 300 block of South 5th Street, right on the border of Arcadia and Monrovia. The victim was approached by two men, one of whom punched the victim and stole his ride, said Sergeant Stephen Fallavollita of . No weapons were used in the attack.

The extent of injuries was not immediately known.

The suspects reportedly fled along the railroad tracks eastbound into Monrovia. Officers searched the area, but could not find the bicycle, or the suspects.

The bike was described as a white mountain bike with a white headlight.

The suspects were described as two Hispanic men in their 20s, they both wore light-colored shirts and dark pants.
