Campbell Jury Selection Underway

A jury must decide whether Isaac Campbell is guilty of second-degree murder or manslaughter in his ex-girlfriend's death.

Jury selection in Isaac Campbell's second murder trial has begun. Campbell faces fresh murder charges in the August 2007 death of his ex-girlfriend Liya "Jessie" Lu.

following a month-long trial and seven days of deliberations. However, the panel became deadlocked on whether the defendant was guilty of the lesser charge of second-degree murder.

The former Pasadena City College student cannot be found guilty of first-degree murder in the case again because of the Double Jeopardy clause in the Constitution.
