UPDATE: Jury Selected in Campbell Trial

After several , lawyers selected a jury to try a San Gabriel Valley man accused of killing his girlfriend, stuffing her body in a trashcan and hiding it in the garage of a friend's home.

is charged with murder in the August 2007 death of 31-year-old Liya "Jessie" Lu. Her body was discovered at a house on the 1700 block of South Baldwin Ave. a month or so after her death.

Shortly after the body's discovery, authorities arrested Campbell in Minnesota and extradited him back to California. The couple met as nursing students at Pasadena City College.

The trial is taking place the Superior Courthouse in Alhambra.
