A woman is recovering at a local hospital after being struck by a car.
The accident happened near 25 Genoa Street shortly after 10 a.m., when the woman stepped out into the street to get into her vehicle, Arcadia Police Lt. Bob Anderson said.
The impact temporarily knocked the woman unconscious, but she regained consciousness en route to Huntington Memorial Hospital, Arcadia Fire Department spokeswoman Beth Stogner said. She also suffered leg and neck injuries.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but the proximity of the moving vehicle to the woman indicates the driver may be at fault, Anderson said.
