While trolling YouTube, we came across a video of Saturday's fire near the Gold Line Bridge construction site.
In case you don't recall, a vegetation fire sparked by a downed power line burned through brush lining the eastbound side of the 210 Freeway between the Santa Anita and Baldwin Avenue exits. The flames caused some damage to the Gold Line Bridge construction site, and prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue a Sig Alert.
The video, posted yesterday by YouTube user William Avellan, was shot from a moving vehicle headed east on the 210. As the vehicle approaches the Santa Anita Avenue exit, you can see heavy black smoke rise up from behind the partially-constructed bridge.
There is also a great close-up shot of the burning brush. Check it out for yourself!
