Fire Blotter: Fire Assists and Vehicle Collisions

Arcadia fire fighters responded to two vehicle collisions and assisted Monrovia units with a structure fire and a vegetation fire.

The responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of Oct. 9-15. The following is a breakdown of incident types for this period:

Total Incident Count: 92

Oct. 9:

At 9:15 p.m. Engine 107, Truck 105, and Rescue Ambulance 105 assisted the Monrovia Fire Department with a commercial structure fire in the 200 block of East Foothill Boulevard in Monrovia.

Oct. 10:

At 6:12 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a traffic collision involving an automobile and a pedestrian in the 00 block of West Duarte Road. One person suffered minor injuries and fire personnel transported him to for further treatment and evaluation.

Oct. 14

At 3:56 p.m., Engine 105 and Truck 105 assisted units from Monrovia Fire Department with a vegetation fire in the 1900 block of Alamitas Avenue in Monrovia.

Oct. 15

At 11:29 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of West Duarte Road and Sunset Avenue. Two people involved in the accident complained of mild neck pain. Both declined to go to the hospital and were advised to follow up with their personal physicians.
